Goodbye 2022...

 

Soooo, 2022...

Probably one of my wildest years so far.

So many things happened. Some other things didn't. To be honest, I could only achieve like 30% of my goals for this year, at best.

But I'm very hopeful that 2023 will be better. I'll be working and studying hard to be a few steps closer to my dreams.

 

It seems that 2022 wasn't exactly kind to anyone, so I wish that the year of the rabbit may bring more kindness, peace and love to everybody!

Let's keep on trying to be our best selves!

Last GETS of 2022!

I left work today and went on the last haul before new year's eve! 

I got some accessories and hair tools for tomorrow, but I also found lower lashes locally! 

They're from a brand called YouCare and Indonesian-made, and look a little similar but they're actually different styles (YC001 and YC002 respectively). Were also a bit expensive as they're made out of human hair, but considering that I have to import lowers most of the time, it feels good to find them so close to me. (⁠●⁠♡⁠∀⁠♡⁠)

 There were also a YC003 but wasn't really my style:

YC002 looked better without mascara though. Might remove it later.

I'm not wearing it this time, but I also gave it a shot and got an eyeglasses chain. I've never had one before even though I'm a #meganegirl since I was 11, they used to look so granny back in the day but recently got a fashionable update thanks to models like Bella Hadid. I was lucky to find this super cute one with a heart charm!

It feels a bit weird to have something dangling on the sides of my face but at the same time, I love the whole idea of it??? Like, maybe I can have one for each outfit of mine, so my glasses will always match with the rest! So many possibilities! (⁠✷⁠‿⁠✷⁠)

This isn't really a get from today, but I wanted to show the nails I'll be wearing! Also found locally. Very hime style!

Every year goes by quickly, but 2022 felt specially rushed.

I'm super excited for the new year, but for some reason I'm going on a nostalgia trip by listening to late 2000's EDM (which I'm very fond of) and it's strange how they can even remind me of how that decade smelt like! This one song in special is like a real time machine for me. ༎ຶ⁠‿⁠༎ຶ

I'm expected to post something a little before the new year rings, so I wouldn't say this is the last post of 2022. 

Either way, I can't stop thinking about the ride it's been...

I just arrived at work, after my day-off ~

Gosh, don't you also hate the week between Christmas and New Year? I feel totally clueless and frozen on time 

However, I feel quite nervous when I think it's almost 2023 ⊙⁠﹏⁠⊙ I wish I could go back in time a little so I'd have more time to get my shit done wwwwww

Idk if you can tell bc it's very dark, but I've braided my hair before sleep so it's wavy now ~

I'm doing this post, like, 4 months late but... Shit happens. ╮⁠(⁠╯⁠_⁠╰⁠)⁠╭

Also, I was supposed to do a recap on 2021 but since we're almost in 2023, I'm recapping 2022 as well! 

Last September, I hit my 4th year as a gal. This last year was really, really special, as I became a full-time, everyday gal.  My whole life changed a lot because of it, and for better. 

Gyaru is not only the style of makeup I wear; my whole life is gyaru. As I've mentioned before, I tried to hard to look mature and grown-up for a while, which got me putting my true self aside. Gyaru makes me embrace it. 

So here are my favorite looks from September 2021 to December 2022, in chronological order 

September 2021:

The bushy brows though ミ⁠●⁠﹏⁠☉⁠ミ they didn't even know they were in their last days...

October 2021:

My first day ever without my natural brows! I was completely clueless on how to draw them (⁠*⁠﹏⁠*⁠;⁠)

I took a whole month vacation from work, so I didn't do much, but I had one of my absolute favorite looks of 2022.

March 2022:

Some gals threw shade on my namidabukuro so I kept making them larger lol

June 2022:

I took a lil break from late March to June, for no specific reason other than not feeling in the mood for dressing up or doing makeup.

When I got back to it, I tried lots of old-school looks and also pushed myself to level me up (in a healthy way, of course). This month was definitely game-changing!

I found out that braided hairstyles are the best for those who are unskilled in hairstyling lol so I started wearing them a lot.

I'm so, so grateful and happy for each advice and criticism received, and every look I've done over the year, as they were all responsible for my growth as a gal! 

It was insane to look at the oldest selfies! I could barely recognize myself! (⁠☉⁠｡⁠☉⁠)⁠!
