Sooo, I have some other new deco project!
This one began when I saw an Instagram reel showing one of the Juicy Couture mouses from the early 2010s. This one especifically was entirely bedazzled with light pink rhinestones. I'm a huge fan of Juicy and I always draw so much inspiration from their aesthetics, then I remembered I do have an old pink mouse that I sometimes use. It was already cute as it was, but... Why not make it even better?
The inspiration
The Blinged Out Wireless Mouse was released in 2010 at the retail price of USD $68, in three different color variations and also had a built-in flash drive. The one I saw on Instagram was the light pink one, but my favorite was the hot pink x light pink variation.
I started out by doing a little heart in the middle of the "body" of the mouse, which, frankly, didn't turn out great. I tried to re-do it but I couldn't remove all of the rhinestones so I accepted that it would look a bit off
Not going to lie though, this wasn't my best project. I definitely needed rhinestones that are a size or two size smaller than the ones I had so it's not exactly similar or better than the reference. I didn't have light pink rhinestones in any other size so I went with it. I made a few mistakes along the way, especially on the left button. But even with all the problems, I managed to make it look at least somewhat cute
I also thought I could bedazzle that part around the scroll wheel, which is not in the Juicy mouse. I kept wondering if there could be a problem by doing it, but I did some research on different bedazzled mouses and I found some others with bedazzling on that part.
Overall, it was a very quick project, I finished the whole thing in about two hours. I would definitely recommend a project like this for a beginner to try out. Is it my favorite project? Absolutely not. But hey, it's cute enough
Now you might have been wondering... Is it any comfortable to use? While it doesn't feel 100% like using a regular mouse, it's not uncomfortable either. It doesn't hurt nor does it leaves marks on my fingertips. If you enjoy textures, you might like the feeling!
