I got some stuff recently (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
Hot air hair styler (Dyson Airwrap dupe)
With this new haircut, I quickly learned that I cannot let it dry on its own or brush it the regular way. I used to rarely make use of my blow-dryer because I'm that lazy.
I couldn't make it look like when I left the hair salon that day because blow-drying with one hand and brushing with a round brush with the other is quite a skill.
I was recommended to get a dryer brush, so I got a Dyson Airwrap dupe at Shopee. It's cheap, made out of plastic and certainly not the same as my hair dresser's skills but my hair looks a lot better with it. I want to invest in a better and larger rotating dryer brush in the near future. This is more like an emergency resource.
It has 4 different attachments and one is supposed to be a curler but the curls unfortunately don't last very long. Apparently that's an issue even with the original Airwrap, but I've been planning to get a curling iron anyways.
Daiso honey oil mesh comb
Also because of my haircut, I was told to comb my hair because brushing makes it too voluminous and messy. I can't leave it untouched because it gets tangled very easily but I didn't really have a comb ww so I chose one I could carry around with me and this Daiso comb has the perfect travel size.
I had never seen this type of comb before so I did a quick research and apparently it's a popular type in Japan among hairdressers. I don't know about the honey oil part (idk how the heck it has oil infused to plastic) but I'm liking it so far! It untangles my hair quite easily and doesn't cause much breakage. Been carrying it around everywhere.
Aspa extra-strong hold hair mousse
I got it to experiment with sock curls but I attempted setting my hair with it before using the hot air styler (it has heating protection as well) and I'm really enjoying it so far. It didn't solve my issue with the frizz but has been keeping my hairstyle in place and doesn't leave it greasy or crusty.
Natura Acerola and Hibiscus bronzing body lotion
When I first saw this product a few months ago, I didn't jump into buying it because I knew it would be on sale due to it being seasonal. Every summer, Natura re-releases their Acerola and Hibiscus line (which I own or had already owned almost every product because HIBISCUS
) and this time they had a bronzing body lotion.
Self-tanners don't really work with me for some reason, so I tried it out at store to see if it would stain my clothes. Turns out it didn't, it's very easy to wash off and even has a little bit of glitter in it
I found it with 40% off and I got an extra 10% because of my birthday!!!
I've been wanting to quit being a shiro gal, but since it is like makeup, I'm obviously not wearing it everyday... Which leads to the next item...
Tanning accelerator
As you may wonder, there's a large variety of tanning accelerators in Brazil (esp because tanning beds were completely illegal until some time ago) and apparently salons have been using this kind of paraffin-based accelerator. I got a sachet to try it and see if it works with me, and maybe I'll get the full size product
Fall has just began so I'm not sure when I'll be able to try it out but the weather in São Paulo is truly unpredictable so... Who knows
Now for things I wanna get...
25mm curling iron
I've been debating with myself wether I should get a 25mm or 35mm barrel but I think 25mm would be a better starting point. I've been experimenting with heatless hacks and I don't hate them, but they definitely don't do the same thing as a burning hot iron ww
Lowell setting spray
This specific setting spray by Lowell was created with curling iron-made curls in mind and has positive reviews on Amazon. It's quite pricey so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get it.
Hair rollers
From what I've seen in a few hair tutorials at gal magazines, rollers can be quite useful, especially to set bangs and front parts. Maybe I'll grab some in different sizes at Daiso ~
Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow in "Fantasia"
This is my favorite eyeshadow for daily makeup and I have recently hit pan on it
it has the most beautiful rose gold glitter finish ever.
