Today's look + haul + Peruvian snacks

How ya doing???

Today was a good day ~ I got to see Lore to give her my somewhat early birthday present (her birthday is tomorrow but I won't be able to attend. Will explain later on this post)

Even though she's my best friend, we don't see each other since Christmas  so I really missed her!

It was really cold today so I was wearing a tracksuit

 Diamond Lash "Dolly eye"
 Off-brand

We met at a clothing trade event. It worked like this: you brought clothes you don't want anymore, the organizers would curate and give you tickets you could exchange for other clothes that were brought by other attendees. I didn't bring any clothes myself, but Lore got so many tickets that she let me pick some stuff

Here's everything I got:

Floral stretchy dress with a lace trim

Pink Capri pants

Cami shirt

And my favorite: a super cute pajamas set!

Not only I could get super cute items... It was 100% free!

I went to have lunch after that, and then headed to the subway to go home, but in the way I found a store with some REALLY cute stuff... And then I spent way more than I should  they had some really great stuff for decoden and I couldn't resist

I got seven different sheets of deco stickers... I swear I needed all that

They had an adorable selection of keychains and PHONE CHARMS!!! IN 2024!!! I had to get some! I already transferred and attached my eyelash glue charm to it

Now, on a completely different topic: I recently found a place next to work that sells Peruvian snacks and drinks. Honestly? They KNOW how to do these stuff!

Today I tried Inca Kola, a lemon verbena soda produced by Coca-Cola, but exclusive to Peru. Its radioactive-yellow coloring looks a bit intimidating, but it tastes SO GOOD!  It's a 10/10 for me!

Earlier this week, I tried strawberry Fanta, which isn't exclusive to Peru, but we don't have it in Brazil. It was okay. Not bad, but resembling of cough syrup  will not buy again though. Inca Kola, on the other hand... Might become my new addiction!

Now this is probably my new favorite snack: as I've said before, chocomint is my favorite ice cream flavor, and they have this chocolate biscuit with mint-flavored filling. It's absolute perfection. I've bought it twice already.

Apparently, chocomint is a popular flavor in Peru. You know what, I need to book a trip ASAP

Tomorrow marks 3 years since my grandma left this world. If you read this blog since the very beginning, then you probably remember that I started writing as a way to cope with my grief.

Yes, it all happened during my best friend's birthday, which is why I never get to celebrate on the date with her. Instead, I'll pay my grandma's grave a visit.

It still hurts, a lot.

I miss her dearly, everyday.

It's still hard for me to know that I'll never get to hug her or eat her food ever again. But I feel so lucky, and so blessed for being her granddaughter. Out of so many people in the world who could have born in my place, I got to have her as my grandmother for the entirety of my childhood and most of my life. She's forever my favorite gift.

Grandma, I love you so much. I hope you're having a blast in heaven.

  1. That's so awesome that you got such cute things for free! I wonder if we have something like that here in Arizona...
Also you're so lucky to find phone charms in 2024! I'm about to make my own cause I miss them so much XD
Also I do remember when you started writing. I'm very happy that you got to spend so much of your life with her. She sounds like a very special lady. Reminds me of my grandma and how much I miss her. We lost her in 2009. It still hurts fresh every year and day. But let's both remember that they are our guardian angels. <3
